We're building a movement for good

Charitable giving is at the heart of what we do – and has been for over 130 years. Today we are the fourth-largest corporate donor to charity in the UK1, contributing to thousands of good causes in this country and abroad.

As a business owned by a charity, we understand the sector and are proud to be able to work with industry leaders, sharing our wealth of knowledge and expertise, offering practical skills and providing charity fundraising resources.

We’re delighted to be launching our Movement for Goods awards for the third successive year – helping to continue to give back to the communities we serve and championing the issues that really matter to them.

Our 2021 Movement for Good awards

We know how important it is to support the most vulnerable in our society, so once again we are giving £1 million to charities through our Movement for Good awards.

We want to continue to put giving directly into the hands of the communities we serve and support remarkable organisations (like yours perhaps) in their efforts to change people’s lives for the better.

Movement for Good Awards

Our £1 million giving programme has two funding phases:

1. 500 charities will each receive £1,000 during the first phase of the campaign, which launches today

Our £1,000 awards are open to eligible charities registered in the UK and Republic of Ireland - these could range from smaller volunteer-run groups to larger, well-known organisations. Please read our full terms and conditions, to see whether your charity is eligible to apply.

2. A second phase of giving will happen later this summer and we will provide more details nearer the time

We want to use our second phase of giving to help charities in the most effective way and will be sharing updates in the next few weeks, so please register here so that we can keep you in the loop every step of the way.

Nominate today

Anyone can nominate a charity to win one of the £1,000 awards. And it’s quick and easy to do. The more nominations a charity receives the greater their chance of winning, so spread the word.

For more information on the rules for nominations and how we use your data please read our terms and conditions. To make sure you're nominating the right charity, we check the number against a database of all registered charities in the UK , Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man. For not-for-profit and community interest companies please tick the registration exempt box.

The correct formats for the charity numbers are:

  • England & Wales: 6 or 7 numerical digits
  • Scotland: SC followed by 6 numerical digits
  • Republic of Ireland: 8 numerical digits
  • Northern Ireland: 6 numerical digits (without NIC prefix)
  • Channel Islands & Isle of Man: Numerical digits

Nominations open on Monday 24 May 2021 and close on Sunday 13 June 2021. Fill in your chosen charity’s details below for them to be in with a chance of winning one of our £1,000 awards.
