We understand the importance of longer-term funding for charities, especially when trying to bring ambitious new ideas to life and get larger transformative projects off the ground. That is why we are awarding grants of £10,000 and more.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for specific projects or innovative initiatives with clear outcomes and benefits.
A project must clearly fit into one of our four key themes - please see the tables below for a detailed indication prior to submitting an application.

Education
and skills

We're looking for projects which…

Promote or sustain skills and expertise among any group of people. Previously funded projects include giving school children positive mental health training and teaching lifesaving water safety skills to underserved communities.

Rural or community
development

We're looking for projects which…

Strengthen a community to make it more inclusive, supportive or sustainable. Previously funded projects have provided vital counselling services to the farming community and connected to the countryside.

Arts, heritage
or culture

We're looking for projects which…

Promote or support our history and traditions or focuses on the protection and preservation of historic land and buildings. Previously funded projects have educated craftspeople in sustainable design and helped connect people with disabilities with heritage.

Climate change or
environment

We're looking for projects which…

Contribute to our collective challenge to tackle impact on the climate and environment. Previously funded projects have enabled restoration of wetlands across the UK and research into climate impacts on heritage buildings.

What we do fund

  • Charities whose projects clearly fit into one of our four key themes.
  • Charities with specific projects or innovative initiatives that have clear outcomes and benefits.
  • You can apply for a larger grant even if you've received any level of Movement for Good funding before.

What we don't fund

  • Individuals.
  • Charities that don't clearly fit into one of our four key themes.
  • Charities with a political association.
  • Please take a look at our other funding opportunities, as your charity may still be eligible to receive support.

To ensure you are in with a good chance of being awarded, be sure to read our application guide, containing useful information about the assessment criteria and how each application will be scored.

The next £1,000 draw is coming up soon, so please get your nominations in by midnight Sunday 21st July to ensure your favourite charity is in the running. Don't forget, it is one nomination per charity per person – so you can support all of your favourite causes.
